5 day in Cape Town
If you find yourself in Cape Town one of the most exciting places in Africa and you only have 5 days.
First thing to remember is that most attractions are weather dependant - www.weathersa.co.za
I would also recommend that you plan to be flexible just in case.
1. When visiting Table Mountain you can buy your ticket at the base of the mountain where they will inform you what the weather is like at the top. Set aside at least 3 hours for Table Mountain. The rest of the day you can explore the City Centre or visit Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens only minutes outside the city centre.
2. An activity such as Robben Island should always be booked at least two weeks in advance as they tend to get booked up and the booking process has always proven to be "challenging" - so book early!! Set about 5 hours for Robben Island. A great thing to do in the evening is enjoy the sights, sounds and aroma's of the V & A Waterfront.
3. One of the most popular activities in Cape Town is going on Safari. Book it in advance via booking agent - apr@gam.co.za It is only an hour away from Cape Town and has a transfer service to and from your Cape Town hotel.
4. Cape Peninsula Tour starting in Cape Town or Hout Bay then travelling along Chapman's Peak Drive making your way to Cape Point where I would recommend you spend at least two hours driving around and exploring the area and visiting Cape of Good Hope stopping off for a meal or a picnic. A good idea would be to then travel in the opposite direction back via Simon's Town, Fish Hoek and Muizenberg .
5. There are several vineyards less than an hour outside the city centre but there is also the ever famous Constantia Wine Estates - Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and Constantia Uitsig. It can be a full day by visiting the cellars, wine tasting and an abundance of restaurants.
Easy five days of fantastic action in Cape Town enjoy yourselves and go easy.
